Project goal: diversification of rural tourism in Ukraine on the principles of sustainability and creativity by giving masters of study program "Economics", speciality "International Economics" in Zaporizhzhia national university and entrepreneurs in the field of rural tourism professional competencies to build business models based on European values, principles of harmonious balancing between environmental, economic and socio-cultural aspects.

The project’s goal is: to provide masters of study program "Economics", speciality "International Economics" in Zaporizhzhia national university and entrepreneurs in the field of tourism with competences to form creative and sustainable business models of tourism development based on European experience

The project’s objectives are:

  • development and implementation of courses based on the analysis of rural tourism needs and its participants;
  • trainings for entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to spread best European practices in organization and diversification in the field of rural tourism on the basis of sustainability and creativity; 
  • building of a functional cluster (network) model of creative development of rural tourism in Ukraine based on the principles of a harmonious balance between environmental, economic, socio-cultural aspects and taking into account the best practices of rural tourism diversification in the European Union.

Activities:

  • course (4 modules);
  • learning materials for the course using innovative methods;
  • scientific conferences, Round tables, training excursions, seminar - trainings; the final conference of the project;
  • website, scientific articles, monograph, course book, materials of scientific and final conference, recommendations.

Expected results:

 working out of the course «Diversification of rural tourism through sustainability and creativity: disseminating European experience in Ukraine» (4 modules);

 development of learning materials for the course using innovative methods and technologies, inclusion into the curriculum on a full-time basis, free placement of educational and methodical materials of the course on the project website and in Moodle system;

  gaining of new pedagogical skills and techniques by Zaporizhzhia national university lecturers, who will teach course modules and exchange pedagogical experience among Ukrainian and European partners;

 summarizing theoretical and practical experience on diversification of rural tourism business models on the basis of sustainability and creativity through its meaningful discussions with external experts during scientific conference, Round table, training excursion, seminar - training; the final conference of the project;

 results streamline through the project website, publication of 6 scientific articles, 1 monograph; course book, materials of scientific and final conference;

development of recommendations to Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture and to Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration about the formation of cluster (network) model of rural tourism creative development in Ukraine based on European experience.
